Care and maintenance information
Due to the non-porous surface of the finish, there is no need to use abrasive cleansers. Any household liquid detergent will give excellent results. To remove mineral stains, use a mild acid solution such as liquid bowl cleaners. All organic coatings must cure. They start to cure from the time of application for a total of approximately thirty (30) days.
- Clean surface regularly with soap and sponge. This will condition the new surface.
- DO NOT leave bar soap on refinished surface.
- DO NOT leave faucets dripping and towel dry after use.
- DO NOT use abrasive cleaners. Use liquid soap, MILD liquid cleaners approved for acrylic surface.
- DO NOT use scrubbing pads, like Brillo, Scotch Brite, or any other similar products.
- Avoid heavy objects or sharp objects around new finish. If dropped it will cause damage.
- DO NOT use knives directly on finished surface. Use cutting boards.
- DO NOT put hot pots, curling iron, flat comb, etc. directly on finished surface.
- Acid bearing compounds such as Acetone, liquid drain opener, Drano, tile grout cleaner, etc., will destroy finish.
- Faucets should be checked regularly for drips. H20 at a constant drip will eventually erode and cause surface failure.
- DO NOT use rubber mats. When subjected to hot water, it causes a reaction with new surface. This reaction will weaken and eventually cause finish to fail.
Important: Finished surface can last from ten to fifteen years with proper care and maintenance. Please follow guidelines and enjoy your newly finished surface for many years to come. Neglecting the care and maintenance of your newly finished service will affect your warranty.
Warranty Information
All Fixtures MUST be removed prior to scheduled appointment to qualify for 5 year warranty. For example, overflow escutcheons, faucet, drains, sink(s), etc. If not removed, it is the responsibility of the owner to have a seam sealer installed and maintained where new finish meets fixture to prevent outside contaminants or water from penetrating under new finish causing it to fail. Customer neglect is not the responsibility of the refinisher therefore not covered under warranty. Finished surface can last from ten to fifteen years with proper care and maintenance. Please follow guidelines and enjoy your newly finished surface for many years to come.
